A big game of Touch

At touch rugby we carried on with the two and three man settle. We also learned how to share the ball when your on the five meter line.

Two man settle is when I have the ball and my other friend is dummy half. A dummy half is the person that is picks up the ball. First I need to run to the defender that's gonna touch me. After taking the touch I need to plant the ball so my friend can take the ball and pass it to me again.

A three man settle is basically the same thing. First I need to take the touch. Then I plant the ball. After planting the ball the dummy half quickly picks up the ball and passes it to the player that is next to him.

Then we played a game of touch. The aim of this game is to practise how to play touch, also using two and three man settle.

I really enjoyed using using three and two man settles in a game of attacking and defending. One thing I think I could work on is getting everyone involved in the game and moving straight forward to score a try.

A three man settle is basically the same thing. First I need to take the touch. Then I plant the ball. After planting the ball the dummy half quickly picks up the ball and passes it to the player that is next to him.

Touch Rugby

This week for touch we learned some basic skill.

First we learned how to plant the ball. Planting the ball is easy. First I need to take the touch and put the ball on the ground. After putting it on the ground I need to step over it so the other player can take the ball and pass it to the other player.

After we played a activity called bibs versus non-bibs. Five people from each team gets a ball. everyone with no ball needed to tag the people with a ball.

Then we played a game of defenders and attackers. There was one defender and two attackers. In this game the defenders needed to try and block the attackers from scoring a try.

The defenders and attackers game was amazing because I kept on scoring.

A set is a technique in volleyball.

To set a ball first put one leg in the front and the other one behind so you can get ready to bend your knees.

Next bend your elbow and put your hands above your hair so you can get ready to hit the ball.

Then bend the knees so you can get ready to put your knees straight. Then hit the ball with your hands.

Finally you can hit the ball.

A set is used in one sport called volleyball.

L.I To learn how to do a set.
