Fractions

Fractions are one whole thing divided into equal pieces.

Fractions have two parts, the numerator, and the denominator. The denominator tells the size of the fraction. The numerator shows how pieces there are.

An example is five eighths. The fraction size is eights, so the denominator is eight. There are five pieces, So the numerator is five.
